The Judicial Branch
Chief Justice is designed to engage the participant in a variety of debates in a courtroom setting on
constitutional and contemporary issues and then move that debate into the community to affect positive change.

Create a forum in which each participant is motivated to learn patriotism and appreciate the United States Constitution.

Teach character education by developing moral values as students engage and challenge each other on the ethical positions they hold.

Provide a forum for citizenship training as students are asked to create an ethicalsocietybased on how they think the laws should be written.

Provide an opportunity for cooperative learning as students work with partners in mock law firms and later in small groups to complete service-learning projects.

Introduce a process which requires each player to use critical thinking skills.

Develop computer literacy by asking students to extensively research their topics on the Internet.

Provide a forum where players can develop their public speaking and debating skills.

Provide a forumthat teaches ethics and values by using the United States Constitution as a moral compass.

Provide an opportunity to develop leadership training by having students organize and implement community service projects.

Provide an opportunity for participants to move into their communities and performvaluable service-learning projects.
